Call for Proposals for Community College Sponsored Panels at the 2011 OAH Annual Meeting
Houston, TX | March 17–20, 2011
Each year, the OAH Committee on Community Colleges sponsors two panels at the OAH Annual Meeting. As stated in the OAH general call for proposals, “the theme for the 2011 OAH Annual Meeting will be Americans Divided and United: Multiple and Shifting Solidarities.”
The committee invites the submission of panels and presentations that deal with these and other issues and themes in American history. We urge presenters to continue the ongoing transition from simply reading papers to more actively "teaching" the topic of their sessions. Roundtables and workshops offer an excellent format for this. We prefer to receive proposals for complete sessions, but will consider individual paper proposals as well.
Please submit proposals, both for individual and complete panels, to Committee on Community Colleges Chairman Andres Tijerina at by OCTOBER 15, 2010.
